Mexico boasts one of the richest botanical heritages on the planet. The Pacific Magnolia, native to Veracruz and Chiapas, was described by European botanists in the 17th century as "the most perfect flower of the New World." Verbena, originally from Latin America, traveled to Europe where it was embraced by French perfumers and rebranded as a fragrance icon. Neroli—extracted from the bitter orange blossom—has roots that in Mexico thrive alongside orange groves throughout the country.
All of this was here. Waiting for someone to put it in a bottle.
Selva Santa was born from this conviction: that the aromas defining the world's most beautiful spaces can come from here. That Mexico has its own olfactory tradition—in its plants, its markets, its air—and that this identity can be translated into a luxurious fragrance, made for the home.

The fragrances we chose and why
Verbena and Bergamot Peel
Lemon verbena grows throughout Latin America. Its aroma is green, bright, almost medicinal in the best sense—the same energy as mint but with more elegance. We combine it with bergamot: the citrus fruit that forms the base of almost all classic perfumes, with a depth that orange or lemon lack. Together, they create something that feels both ancient and completely contemporary.
Magnolia Blossom and Sea Salt
Magnolia has something difficult to define. It's floral but not cloying. It's soft but not sweet. Perfumers describe it as an aquatic floral—there's something about it that recalls clean water, flowers after rain. We combine it with sea salt to accentuate that aquatic dimension and cleanse any excess sweetness. The result is an intimate fragrance, a favorite for bedrooms.
Neroli and White Cedar
Neroli is the bitter orange blossom. In perfumery, it's one of the most prized ingredients—appearing in fragrances from all the major houses. It has a unique complexity: it starts fresh and citrusy, evolves into floral, and leaves a warmth vaguely resembling honey without quite being it. We anchor it with white cedar—a clean, not dense wood, which gives it structure without making it heavy. It's the most universal of the three fragrances.
Crafted with French mastery
Selva Santa works with a fine fragrance house from France with over 150 years of history in Grasse—the perfume capital of the world. Each Selva Santa fragrance is a complete olfactory composition, with top, heart, and base notes. It evolves over time. It behaves like a luxury perfume, not an air freshener.
Made in Mexico, for the world
100% vegan. Paraben and phthalate-free. Designed to complement the materials and colors of your home interior. The pastel tones of the bottles—the green of Verbena, the pink of Magnolia, the off-white of Neroli—are not random decoration. They are meant to rest alongside marble, wood, and linen.
